We’re proud to manufacture products that help you build high performing, resilient homes that are warmer, drier, healthier and more efficient. And we’re proud of the steps we’re taking in measuring and managing our carbon footprint, reducing waste, recycling and repurposing the materials we work with.

Environmental Transparency

Many of the products we manufacture now have their environmental credentials certified with EPDs. That enables you to make informed choices about the embodied carbon, product lifecycle and environmental impacts of the choices you make for your building projects.

Carbon Certified

We declare and certify the carbon emissions of our company wide operations each year, with Toitu Envirocare New Zealand. As part of Toitu’s Carbon Reduce programme, we are implementing a range of carbon reduction initiatives.

Zero Carbon Electricity

We chose to source our electricity from certified carbon neutral hydro generator, Kawatiri Energy. Looking upstream in our supply chain, APL – who we source our aluminium extrusion from – do the same, and the raw aluminium comes from Tiwai Point smelter, which is almost completely fuelled by renewable hydro electricity. These commitments within our supply chain significantly reduce the embodied carbon of the aluminium in the windows we manufacture.

Glass recycling with 5R Solutions

We work with specialist glass recycling partner 5R Solutions who turn damaged or unusable glass into new products, for filtration, insulation and sand blasting.

Aluminium recycling

One of the benefits of aluminium is that it can be recycled indefinitely. We divert all offcuts to recycling, to ensure they’re reused for a future purpose. We do the same with steel offcuts, swarf and metal straps used in packaging.

Smart packaging, less waste

We work with our key suppliers to reduce packaging waste. Our core materials – extrusion and components - are supplied with reusable packaging and protective materials, an innovative system that means less plastic, and less to waste to landfill. Many materials we’re not able to return or reuse are made available to community partners for repurposing.
